Good thing the heat index is 115. At least you won't get off easy. Now you can say, "this truck runs great due to my blood, sweat, and tears.

You are welcome to it...but I'll have you know that I can barely drive the 4-wheeler in the door right now. LOL It may take a couple hours of cleaning first.

I took pics, but haven't uploaded them tonight as I have to get to bed - but today I got the new radiator hose and removed the old hoses - removed the reservoir, cleaned and cleaned the engine and engine bay, removed the thermostat housing and started a coolant flush. Will finish the rest tomorrow I hope! Pics to come!

What is the deal with not being able to post in the GM tech section? I was going to reply to one of your posts but it won't let me.

OK, time for a few more pics -- no progress last night, and likely none till tomorrow night as I am now officially commuting to Bartlesville to work.. 75 miles one way.. yeee haw for getting up at 3am to drive to work!

But - on the truck.. I'm thinking of spraying the rails and such with a coat of black paint / por 15 or something.. good idea? don't mess with it?

Here are a bunch of goodies!

Washed the crap out of the engine bay -- no more mud (still some red dirt staining...) Best way to tell how clean it is compared to how I got it is to look at the brake reservior and washer fluid bottle

Fan assy went right on - now just to tighten

you could get some muratic acid and spray the engine with it to clean all the aluminum parts.

You want to be VERY, VERY careful if you use that, It will eat rubber! I would use some simple green.

You can put some in a squirt bottle and just spray the aluminum parts

Got the new thermostats in, the housing and upper piping installed and the new heater core pipe/hose inlet installed... didn't have much time to work today, but progress is progress!
