Default Thermostat removal..

I think I know exactly where it is.. BUT -- just to cover my bases and to add some content.. where exactly is the thermostat on the LB7? is it right next to the oil fill tube?

AND, is there anything special I should know when removing it (attempting to do my own cooling system flush..)

Thanks!!
